About Jamie Weatherly
Forever a Carolina kid, Jamie Weatherly was born and spent most of his life in Charlotte, NC. He claims Baltimore as his second home, with a few past addresses across the South East. Naturally gifted at writing and storytelling from a young age, Jamie made a series of horrible and life-threatening decisions to have more interesting stories to tell. With a significant chapter of his life spent in the restaurant industry, including a stint as head chef, Jamie’s stories gained intricate details and flavors. A pivotal moment in Jamie’s life occurred on September 29, 2005, marking the beginning of his journey towards sobriety. Fueled by a profound passion for his own recovery, he now feels compelled to share his story of hope and resilience. Through his experiences, Jamie aims to inspire everyone, especially those grappling with addiction, to embrace a life lived authentically, purposefully, and with unwavering intent. “If my message can help just one person, then I have served my purpose.”
—Jamie Weatherly
Jamie can make a profound, positive impact on you and your organization
Jamie has a story and message that everyone can benefit from. As Jamie says “A lot of people confuse crossing the finish line as the victory. The victory is starting the race, whether you finish or not. There are so many people scared or unmotivated to move from the audience to the pool of participants. It doesn’t matter what any of these people’s opinions might be. It doesn’t matter how others are faring in comparison to you.”
“What matters is that you show up at the starting line and when that starter pistol goes off, you take that first step toward completion. You decide to enter this race to be the person you were meant to be.”
Invite Jamie to share his inspiring story with your audience, emphasizing the importance of shedding burdens and recognizing life as a personal journey, not a race. Through Jamie’s insights, your audience will understand the value of living authentically and savoring each moment.
